Friday morning it was raining, so I didn’t feel like going for a run. But with the 10K Singelloop Run coming up in four weeks, I knew I needed to get back to a training of at least twice a week. So in the evening, when the rain was gone and the sun appeared, I had no more excuses not to run.
My last run (last Sunday) was only 5 kms, so this time I wanted to run for sixty minutes. In one hour I would have a good training and definitely (much) more than 5 kms. The weather was great: no rain, some clouds, windy, a little sunshine and 15 degrees Celsius.
I ran for 62 minutes and when I got home I saw on JogTracker that I ran 10.35 kms. I was very happy I made it! I didn’t run very fast though, so I need to work on that for the next couple of weeks. My goal is to run 10 kms in 55 minutes.
During my evening run I met many other runners on my way. Apparently more people are running during the evening than during the morning. If I will run more often during evenings I have to take a light or something with me, because when I came back from my run the street lights turned on already and it was almost dark! And it’s still August…
